6th Ph.D. Seminar of the International Telecommunications Society

Announcement and Call for Papers

Meet the Experts!
The International Telecommunications Society (ITS) is an association of academics and other professionals in the information, communications, and technology sectors. Its network of researchers comprises outstanding scholars in the field of telecommunications research that are well known from the literature (see www.itsworld.org).

ITS is pleased to announce that it will hold its 6th Ph.D. Seminar in furtherance of its tradition of sharing with younger researchers the valuable expertise represented by the specialized academics and industry experts belonging to or affiliated with our organization.

Not more than 15 students will be selected from the responses to this Call for Papers. In accordance with the topics presented by the winning candidates, experts from the ITS network will be chosen to discuss new ideas brought forward by Ph.D. students. The focus will be on the discussion of ideas presented by the participants, and less on the mere presentation of papers. A selection of papers presented at the Seminar will be encouraged for refereed submission in Telecommunications Policy.

The Seminar will be linked with the 2014 European Regional ITS Conference to be held immediately prior to, and at the same venue as, the Ph.D. Seminar. Access to the 2014 European Regional ITS Conference will be free of charge for the participants of the Ph.D. Seminar.

The Seminar will be organized by ITS and Chalmers University of Technology.

It will be held in Belgium and hosted by iMinds at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Successful participants will receive a certificate from the International Telecommunications Society.

Participation is free of charge. Participants will have to pay for their travel costs and accommodation. Organizational support will be provided.
